Product Advancement eXperts (PAX)
TBVI provides technical support for product and clinical development to its partners through its Product Advancement eXperts (PAX). The PAX advises and guides TB vaccine researchers and developers while they progress their candidates from concept to clinical development, following the TB Vaccine Development Pathway. PAX can advise, amongst others, the definition of a final target product profile (TPP) and the conception and refinement of product development plans, CMC, pre-clinical testing and clinical trial design.
Investigators with novel TB vaccine concepts or vaccine candidates can request consultative services from PAX:
- directly by reaching out to TBVI
- through an application to the Gates Foundation. This consulting service is tailored to meet individual Principal Investigator (PI) needs where these are aligned with the objectives of the Collaboration for TB Vaccine Discovery (CTVD).
