8th Global Forum on TB vaccines

HEALTH MINISTERS HON. MONICA GARCIA GOMEZ OF SPAIN AND HON. BUDI GUNADI SADIKIN OF INDONESIA ANNOUNCED AS CO-CHAIRS OF THE 8TH GLOBAL FORUM ON TB VACCINES

As plans advance to host the 8th Global Forum on TB Vaccines at the University of Zaragoza, the Organizing Partners are pleased to announce that Hon. Mónica García Gómez, Minister of Health of Spain, Hon. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Health of Indonesia, and Dr. Ole Olesen, Executive Director of the TuBerculosis Vaccine Initiative (TBVI), will serve as co-Chairs for the 8th Global Forum on TB Vaccines. Representing the host country, high burden countries, and the scientific community, the Co-Chairs bring diverse perspectives to the leadership of the Forum.

Conference committees representing a diverse group of stakeholders from around the world who are engaged in TB vaccine research, development, advocacy, access and implementation planning will help the Co-Chairs and Organizers develop the Forum program, review abstracts, and provide other valuable input to the planning of the 8th Global Forum. We thank them for contributing their time and their commitment to a successful and productive event.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The call for abstracts for the 8th Global Forum is open. Researchers, product developers, advocates, implementers, public health experts, community representatives, and others interested and engaged in the research, development, and implementation of new TB vaccines are encouraged to submit abstracts to share innovations and new approaches, data, and results.  Click here to submit.

LATE-BREAKER SUBMISSIONS
 The Organizers are pleased to introduce a new late‑breaker submission option for this conference. Authors who anticipate having new data or project results between October and January may choose between two pathways for submitting a late‑breaker abstract.

  • Authors may submit a brief shell abstract by 30 October to give organizers early insight into anticipated late‑breaking work, followed later by a full submission containing complete results by 29 January 2027.Full late‑breaker abstracts preceded by a shell submission will be considered for oral or poster presentation.
  • Alternatively, authors may submit a full late‑breaker Abstract by 29 January 2027 without a prior shell submission, to be considered for poster presentation only.
